SUMMER ENRICHMENT (FAQ)
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Each session consists of 20 hours of individualized one-on-one instruction sprinkled with hands-on and engaging activities for every class and it is $2200/session.
There is a registration fee of $150 due at the time of registration and a Curriculum & Supply Fee of $150 due at the time of contract/schedule confirmation.
CAN I DO BOTH SESSIONS?
YES! You can register for both sessions to double the fun and double the outcomes this summer! Since the instruction is all one on one, the student will continue instruction and be given the opportunity to achieve even more growth.
WE PLAN TO BE OUT OF TOWN A LOT THIS SUMMER. ARE THERE ANY OPTIONS FOR US?
Absolutely! We offer our distance learning via our virtual classroom so our students can stay connected with their teacher even if you are traveling.
MY STUDENT IS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN READING THERAPY, CAN WE STILL DO THE SUMMER READING ENRICHMENT?
No. Our current reading therapy students need to register here. If you have attended our summer sessions before, but are not a current student as of Spring 2023, you are also eligible to enroll in our summer reading enrichment classes.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUMMER READING THERAPY AND SUMMER READING ENRICHMENT?
Summer Reading Enrichment is designed to give our striving readers a “boost” over the summer. Therefore, it is considered a “summer only” program. We use the same highly effective and research-based approach as Reading Therapy. However, our Summer Reading Enrichment is designed to be administered over 20-40 hours whereas our Summer Reading Therapy is much more in-depth and is designed to be administered for a minimum of 120 -300 hours over the course of 2-3 years. For our Summer Reading Enrichment, our teachers administer a reading and spelling screener to determine the instructional plan for the student and identify 2-3 goals to focus their instruction around for the summer. At the end of the session, the teacher will administer the screener again to determine progress made towards those goals. Reading Therapy begins with a complete skills assessment that informs an instructional plan to address all of the reading and spelling skills identified as areas needing growth.
